Huntsville, Alabama (January 15, 1996) - SIRSI announces that Sussex County Community College based in Newton, New Jersey has licensed UNICORN.

SIRSI's Unicorn Collection Management System uses a client/server technology which simplifies and improves the process of managing and accessing libraries' holdings. Its UNIX base provides the flexibility to choose different platforms, all of which operate with the same software. UNICORN's modular design enables users to build on the core Bibliographic and Inventory Control module, choosing and configuring additional modules according to local needs. All UNICORN servers are Z39.50 compliant, providing customers multiple client configuration options.

Sussex County Community College will install UNICORN on an HP 9000 host computer. The library has licensed the Acquisition, Bibliographic and Inventory Control, Circulation, Enhanced Public Access, Request, and Serials Control Modules, and Academic Reserves.
