We are pleased to announce the official opening of our new London office, servicing the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. After the establishment in 1997 of our subsidiary companies in Germany (with offices in Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne) and in the United States (with offices in Chicago and Boston), the formation of Ex Libris (UK) Ltd. further widens the network of world-wide Ex Libris sales and support centres.

Mr. Marc Daubach, currently with our office in Luxembourg, has been appointed Managing Director of Ex Libris (UK) Ltd. He will continue in his current position as Sales Manager Europe.

Mr. Daubach will be assisted as of immediately by Mr. Michael McLellan, Sales Manager UK, and by Mr. Alan Britton, Support Manager. Michael joins us from Ameritech where he filled the position of Sales Manager for Northern Europe. Prior to that he worked for Saztec Ltd. and CLSI Ltd. Alan worked most recently with DS Ltd and prior to that spend 8 years working with Libertas at SLS Ltd. Both Michael and Alan have over 20 years' experience in the library and library automation fields. As the activities of Ex Libris (UK) Ltd. expand, additional professional staff will be taken on board.

Operating out of its new quarters at the address shown below, Ex Libris (UK) Ltd. will be offering the full range of services (marketing, licensing, implementation and support services) in conjunction with our ALEPH library automation and management system, installed to date at some 400 libraries in 34 countries, serving over 12,000 licensed users. In the United Kingdom, the ALEPH system is currently being implemented at King' s College London.
