September 4, 2025. The Library Corporation (TLC) is proud to announce a major milestone: 50 libraries have successfully implemented TLC.Go!, the mobile app that puts library services directly in patrons' hands.
Launched in partnership with Solus toward the end of 2021, TLC.Go! has quickly become a favorite for libraries seeking a seamless, branded mobile experience for their communities. From catalog searches to event calendars to self-check features, TLC.Go! offers a comprehensive extension of the library — on the go.
"We love that the app is customized for our library, both in look and set up," said Tina Hatch, Director at Milford Public Library.
Each TLC.Go! implementation includes a fully branded app in the Apple and Google Play stores, making it easy for patrons to find and recognize their library. App content is tailored to the library, with the ability to include announcements, event calendars, e-resources, and virtually any web-based content.
Patrons enjoy features such as an electronic library card, "Click to Collect" curbside pickup, and optional self-check, with support for both barcode and RFID. They also have access to the same powerful self-service discovery capabilities found in LS2 PAC and CARL.Connect Discovery, creating a consistent and connected user experience across all platforms.
TLC.Go! also integrates directly with TLC.Engage Spaces, allowing patrons to register for programs and reserve rooms directly from their phones, making event and space management easier than ever.
West Plains Library System, who integrates the TLC.Go! app with Library.Solution and TLC.Engage Spaces, loves how the app empowers patrons to discover and engage with everything the library has to offer. "TLC.Go! serves as the ‘front door' to the library for our customers," said Tim Miller, Executive Director at West Plains Library System. "THIS is our new entry point. We joke that this is ‘the one ring to rule them all.' It has made our services more visible, thus more accessible to our customers."
Libraries implementing TLC.Go! are supported every step of the way by TLC's experienced and customer-focused implementation team. "I thought implementation was super easy, as far as technology implementation goes!" said one customer.
Another shared glowing praise for their TLC implementation manager: "She [Amber Downs] constantly demonstrated her expertise, her patience, and her ability to advocate for us as a TLC customer. She moved the standard for customer service incredibly high, and my team and I are grateful to her for the time and hard work she put into making our experience and our app a success."
As the 50th customer to adopt TLC.Go!, Menasha Joint School District is looking ahead to a fall rollout with students and staff.
"With so many of our students owning phones, I wanted to give them easy access to the library," said Jennifer Peterson, PreK-12 District Library Media Coordinator for Menasha Joint School District. "The app will allow students and staff to search the library from their phones and place books on hold — even outside school hours. We're also one-to-one with Chromebooks, so being able to add the app to those devices just makes access that much easier."
Peterson added: "The implementation team was super easy to work with. The process was fast and smooth with very little work on my end. TLC communicated well and kept me informed every step of the way."
"After our 50th anniversary, we're thrilled to celebrate 50 libraries live with TLC.Go!. This milestone is about more than just numbers," noted Annette H Murphy, CEO and co-founder of The Library Corporation. "It reflects how our partner libraries are embracing new ways to connect with their communities. Our app grows with these communities and brings the library experience wherever patrons are."
Recent adoptions of TLC.Go! include 2 school districts and 6 members of a large Michigan consortium, amongst others. With more libraries in the implementation queue, the next milestone is just around the corner.
