CELUS Releases Version 9.0, with improved user interface, e-mail integration, and usage data normalization

CELUS

Prague, Czech Republic -- July 1, 2025. CELUS is proud to announce the release of Version 9.0, the latest development of its innovative and library-proven e-Resource Usage Statistics Platform. This release provides librarians with an intuitive user interface to generate accurate and timely usage statistics across both COUNTER and non-COUNTER compliant e-resources.

To modernize the Platform's user interface, CELUS developers utilized Vuetify's powerful and cutting-edge Vue Component JavaScript Framework. Vuetify components are built with accessibility, scalability, and internationalization in mind, which are key goals for the future development of the CELUS platform.

With Version 9.0, librarians will now have a richer and engaging experience with SUSHI harvests, title overlap analyses, platform comparisons, and cost-per-use calculations, and many more usage stats functionality.

Version 9.0 includes several other features, all of which were suggested by librarian users of CELUS:

  • Advanced Email Integration: Usage reports may now be sent directly via email, on both a real-time or scheduled basis.
  • Harvest Update: An overview of SUSHI harvest progress may now be scheduled for monthly delivery via email.
  • Improved "Interest" Computation: The CELUS usage normalization feature, known as "Interest", now fully supports the COUNTER R5.1 item report metric.

"We're always looking for new ways to help librarians with their usage stats workflows and are thrilled to share a clean and modern user interface with version 9.0," said Tomáš Novotný, CEO and Co-Founder of CELUS.
