LibraryIQ, a leading provider of data analytics tools purpose-built for public libraries, has announced the latest enhancements to the LibraryIQ Platform. These improvements continue the company's mission to help libraries make strategic, data-informed decisions that strengthen community engagement.
Designed by librarians, for librarians, the LibraryIQ Platform integrates with existing ILS systems and other commonly used library tools to provide insights into collection performance, patron trends, community needs, and more – without the need of complex spreadsheets or manual reporting. From small branches to large multi-location systems, libraries across the country use the IQ Platform to save time, optimize budgets, and better align services with the communities they serve.
"These latest updates are a direct result of feedback from our customers," said Sara Roberts, LibraryIQ Product Manager. "We're constantly listening to the library community and evolving the Platform to meet the real-world challenges library staff face every day."
New Enhancements Include:
- Physical Items Added: Libraries can now easily track materials added to the collection and how those items circulate over time. Custom reports can be scheduled and automatically delivered, providing ongoing insights without added workload.
- Personalized Platform Settings: Users can now tailor their IQ Platform experience with their own color palette preferences.
- Customized Weeding List: A new system-wide "Weeding List" column highlights materials ready for review based on criteria set at the code level (e.g., highlight Fiction items inactive for 18 months, Nonfiction for 24 months).
- Patron Type Breakdown: Gain greater clarity into who your library is serving. New charts display both new patron registrations and total patron counts by type—such as adult, juvenile, and more—allowing staff to better assess outreach efforts and adjust services to meet demand.
These enhancements build on the Platform's existing capabilities, including collection development, patron engagement, and community demographic tools. Across the country, libraries using the Platform have reported stronger community engagement, smarter budgeting, and improved staff confidence.
