Villanova, PA -- June 23, 2025. Version 10.2 of the VuFind Open Source discovery software has just been released. This minor release is designed primarily to help users prepare for upcoming changes in release 11.0, but it also includes several new features, along with expanded translations, updated dependencies, new configuration settings and minor bug fixes.

Some key additions and changes:

• A new menu-based system to make the project's command-line utilities more accessible to less technical users.
• Support for authentication using Open ID connect.
• A new AssetManager view helper for managing CSS and Javascript resources in themes; while its use is optional in 10.2, it will be required in 11.0, so its inclusion here makes it possible to begin updating themes for 11.0-readiness.
