ByWater Solutions, America's forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced today that their annual Koha Community Challenge raised over $1,600.00 for koha-US and the Koha Community. 63 Community members participated in the month-long challenge logging over 1,000 activities for the month of May!

By partnering with koha-us for the Spring into Fitness: Koha Community Challenge, we once again were able to create a way for the open-source community to come together, move, and raise money for a good cause!

Nathan Curulla, CRO of ByWater Solutions, recently commented on the Koha Community Challenge:

"We are so grateful for another successful year of the Koha Community Challenge! This is one of our favorite events to support as it directly gives back to the community we love so much. It's so wonderful to see everyone come together to support such a great cause!"

Participants logged runs, walks, biking, dancing, yoga, strength training, and moreover the last month.

Andrew Fuerste-Henry, President of koha-US, recently commented on the event:

koha-US is thrilled to have participated in another successful Community Challenge! With the assistance of ByWater Solutions, we were able to raise money with which the koha-US membership can select and fund new development and features within Koha."

About koha-US and the Koha Community

The funds raised from the Community Challenge will allow koha-us to provide a platform for users to share educational workshops. koha-US members also work together to fund new software features in the Koha Community that help staff with their workflows or help patrons connect to library content.

Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork!

The Challenge was open to libraries, vendors, and any library supporters out there!

The participant with the most overall time and activities logged was JoAnne Zairo with 73 hours and 31 minutes and 126 activities!

The participant with the most distance logged was Enica Davis with 379.09 km!!
