Prague, Czech Republic -- January 27, 2025. CELUS is pleased to announce the growing support of its platform for managing e-resources usage statistics across the Australian Library community. The Australian National University (ANU) Library has selected CELUS, joining the Swinburne University of Technology and the University of Melbourne as platform subscribers. Currently, academic libraries from a dozen countries subscribe to CELUS.

All three libraries are prominent members of the Council of Australasian University Librarians (CAUL), whose mission is to transform how its member libraries provide discovery and access to scholarly content. As part of these subscription agreements, CELUS has developed and implemented a specialized reporting module to help Australasian libraries in compiling metrics for CAUL's Statistics Collection. This module is freely available to all future Australasian library subscribers. CELUS has created a statistical reporting module for library members of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL/IPEDS), and the Spanish Conference of University Libraries (REBIUN).

The ANU Library is part of the Australian National University in Canberra, one of the world's major research universities. Katy Najafi, Manager, Collection Initiatives and Analysis at the ANU Library, shared her perspective on the CELUS subscription, "One of CELUS' standout features is the autonomy it provides in setting up SUSHI harvesting accounts, allowing institutions greater control over their data collection process. Additionally, CELUS offers broader platform coverage compared to other usage statistics aggregators we have worked with, ensuring a more comprehensive analysis of resource usage."

About CELUS

CELUS provides librarians with an online, cloud-based platform for the dynamic harvesting, reporting, and management of electronic resource usage statistics. It is the result of a collaborative effort with CzechELib, the Czech national consortium of academic libraries, which boasts approximately 130 member institutions and an annual e-resources budget of $50 million. This partnership has enriched CELUS with a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of e-resource usage statistics.
