CELUS celebrates key growth milestones for its usage statistics platform

Prague, Czech Republic -- October 29, 2024. As timely and accurate e-content usage statistics continue to play a crucial role in data-driven collection development, many libraries and consortia have turned to CELUS for help. CELUS provides librarians with an online, cloud-based platform for the dynamic harvesting, reporting, and management of electronic resource usage statistics.

Over the past year, CELUS has reached the following milestones:

  • A user base exceeding 1,000 libraries from two dozen countries;
  • A subscription renewal rate with individual libraries and consortia of over 99%;
  • A two-fold increase in global distribution agents;
  • An enhanced REST API to facilitate data interoperability with external library systems, e.g. Microsoft Power BI;
  • A streamlined start-up process to accelerate the implementation of free customized trials;
  • A revamped integration with ConsortiaManager to provide advanced Cost-per-Use metrics;
  • A consulting contract with COUNTER Metrics to develop a new validation tool interface;
  • The addition of 22 new non-COUNTER platforms, bringing the total number of processable non-COUNTER platforms to 119.
