Chicago, IL, and Oslo, Norway -- October 15, 2024. The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) has selected the TIND Integrated Library System (TIND ILS) to manage its vast collection and enhance services for over 200 member institutions. After two years on the FOLIO platform, CRL is migrating to TIND ILS for its powerful search features, efficient workflows, and support for batch processing.

The Center for Research Libraries is an international consortium of over 200 university, college, and independent research libraries. CRL members frequently request hundreds of microfilm reels or years of serials, requiring extensive processing. TIND ILS will streamline this labor-intensive process, saving staff significant time each week.

"CRL is transitioning to TIND ILS due to its powerful search features, efficient workflows, and support for batch processing—essential for managing CRL's large-scale requests," said Amy Wood, Director of Discovery & Technology at CRL. "TIND's integrated front-end interface will also eliminate the need for CRL to maintain a separate user interface."

This project marks the second collaboration between CRL and TIND, as CRL successfully completed its migration to TIND Digital Archive earlier this year. The partnership underscores TIND's commitment to providing tailored solutions for organizations like CRL, setting it apart from broader out-of-the-box platforms.

"We are excited to partner with the Center for Research Libraries again," said Alexander Nietzold, CEO at TIND. "CRL exemplifies the highly specialized academic and research libraries TIND ILS is designed to support. Our system's efficient workflows and support for large-scale batch processing align perfectly with CRL's needs, setting us apart from broader platforms like FOLIO and Alma."
