ASERL publishes 2024 Annual Report

Association of Southeastern Research Libraries

Atlanta, GA -- September 30, 2024. Today the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) published its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting its many accomplishments over the prior year, including the addition of Old Dominion University(opens in new window) as its newest member, hosting numerous online and in-person professional development events, and significant updates to its governing documents.

Jeff Steely, ASERL Board President and Dean of Libraries at Georgia State University commented:

"It has been a great year for ASERL. ASERL's programming and influence continues to grow and expand, new relationships have formed and strengthened, and innovative programs have been designed and implemented. I think it's an impressive set of accomplishments, especially for a small organization like ours."

Founded in 1956, is one of the largest of regional research library consortia in the United States and recognized as a national leader in cooperative research library programming. Today, ASERL serves 39 member institutions in 12 states via highly acclaimed programming, cultivating important conversations, and nurturing relationships among library leaders in the Southeast. By working together, ASERL members provide and maintain unique, top-quality resources and services for the students, faculty, and citizens of their respective communities.  ASERL is housed within the Robert W. Woodruff Library at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
