Atlanta, GA -- May 28, 2024. Equinox Open Library Initiative, a trusted leader in open source technology development and support for libraries, is excited to welcome Morrisson Reeves Library to the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium (Evergreen Indiana) with support from the Indiana State Library. Equinox provided technology and migration consulting services for the Morrisson Reeves Library project.
"Migrating from one integrated library system to another is not an easy process. We are proud of and grateful to all those who made this a smooth and pleasant experience," said Ruth Frasur Davis, Coordinator at the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium. "The staff of Morrisson Reeves Library, Equinox Open Library Initiative, and the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium all worked together to make this launch a success, and Equinox was an integral part of its completion. Equinox not only provided technical support but were calm and reassuring voices during a stressful time."
Morrisson Reeves Library is the 130th public library to launch as part of the Evergreen Indiana Library Consortium. With the successful addition of Morrisson Reeves Library, patrons in East Central Indiana will see a noticeable and positive change to library service in the region as library systems in Wayne, Union, Fayette, and Henry Counties are now all served by Evergreen Indiana and fully participating in resource sharing across the state.
Evergreen Indiana is a growing consortium of libraries throughout Indiana that are using Evergreen ILS. The Indiana State Library provides funding in addition to technical support, training, and software development of Evergreen ILS on behalf of member libraries.
"It was a pleasure to work with the team at Evergreen Indiana and the Morrisson Reeves Library staff," said Rogan Hamby, Data and Project Manager at Equinox.
