Innovative, part of Clarivate, is pleased to invite Innovative users to register for the Innovative Users Group annual conference in Detroit, Michigan from Marcy 25 – 27, 2024 at the Detroit Renaissance Marriott.
The IUG conferences are hosted by the Innovative Users Group, a library-led and library-run group for libraries that use Innovative products. This year's conference schedule is still being finalized, but will consist of library-led sessions on all kinds of topics of interest to libraries (not just Innovative software).
Innovative will also be presenting information at the conference about the latest in Innovative solutions, as well as providing several short, tutorial-style "Quick Hit" sessions on getting the most out of Innovative solutions. Innovative also hosts a not-to-be-missed evening dessert reception, where attendees are invited to wear Detroit Lions Blue, aka Honolulu blue.
Your library must be a member of the IUG for you to attend the conference. There is a modest fee to join the IUG, which ranges from US$110 for small libraries up to US$220 for library consortia. This fee covers membership for all employees of the member libraries. See this page for details on joining the IUG.
Once your library has joined the IUG, staff from your library will not only be able to sign up for the conference, but also have access to user forums, online program materials from the IUG conferences, access to regional IUG conferences, opportunities to work directly with Innovative on product development, and periodic emails on group events and resources.
Note that the price for registering for the IUG Conference goes up on February 16, so register early to make the most of your budget!
Interested in maximizing your IUG 2024 investment? Innovative will be hosting pre-conference activities on March 24, including a Hackathon, a session on Marketing Best Practices with library marketing expert Cordelia Anderson, and DIY sessions for Polaris: Review and Update Your Technical Services Workflows—and Sierra: Understanding your reporting toolbox and a 60k Miles System Tune-up.
ProTip: This year's conference is preceded by live Load Profile Training for Sierra users. This popular training program was on hold for a few years but is making a comeback the weekend before the IUG conference, March 23-24 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Click here to register for Load Profile Training. If you're not interested or able to attend live training, online materials for self-led Load Profile Training are now available.
