Waterloo, Ontario, January 20, 2024. Library Bound, a premier provider of material acquisitions, cataloguing and processing to Canadian public libraries, is pleased to announce it has received a platinum award from LibraryWorks' tenth annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs.) The MLAs were created to recognize the top products and services in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Products and services were submitted in the fall using a simple application, and then were posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge them, resulting in a truly unbiased score.
Library Bound has been recognized with platinum distinction of this award for 3 years in a row.
Each judge scored the product on a numeric basis from 1-10 on a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service, etc.
"Library Bound has always taken pride in innovating to offer the best services to our customers. Our web app and platform were created based on decades of experience serving Canadian libraries. Our software system was designed to permit us to continually improve how we serve libraries—now and in the future. Library Bound is honoured to receive this MLA once again in 2024." –Jeffrey Begley, CTO
