Japanese public libraries go live on Bibliovation 7.2

Rockville, MD, October 26, 2023 – Two public libraries in Japan went live on Bibliovation 7.2 and joined the LibLime customer family. One of the libraries serves a community on the southeastern side of the main Okinawa island and the second library is on the island of Honshu outside of the greater Tokyo metropolitan center. Both libraries serve their communities through a variety of different library programs including the dissemination of both print and digital collections.

Since LibLime has been providing hosting solutions to its library customers for over fifteen years, these libraries are now benefiting from a browser-based library management solution housed in a FedRAMP-certified hosting facility. Each library received stellar LibLime implementation services covering data analysis, data migration, system configuration, supervisor training, and staff workflow training all under the direction of a PMP-certified Project Manager. The libraries selected Bibliovation 7.2 because of its UNICODE-compliant database and interface, its flexible circulation policy support, and its easy-to-use staff interface.

The library staffs are also enjoying reading and commenting on the bi-weekly LibLime blog posts found at https://liblime.com/category/liblime/blog/

About Bibliovation 7.2

The Bibliovation 7.2 LSP is a 100%web-based solution using responsive design so that all system access to researchers, library staff, and system administrators happens through web browsers on devices on any kind. Bibliovation services include enhanced NCIP and SIP2 support for third party products and services and PayPal integration for online payments. Bibliovation helps libraries manage both physical and digital content in a single Rest API-based platform by supporting MARC21, Dublin Core, RDA, and the auto-creation of latitude and longitude subfields on the 034 when cataloging maps. Some focused features in Bibliovation 7.2 include enhanced SAML support for SSO; report query ‘sticky' login solution for staff with reports module permissions; expansion of local cataloging rules to provide validation support beyond MARC21; additional Lexile Framework support in Discovery Layer searches; and expanded patron detail editing capability in the Discovery Layer.
