Index Data celebrates successful FOLIO and LDP installation at Stanford University Library

Boston, MA -- September 18, 2023. Index Data is excited to congratulate Stanford University on the successful deployment of FOLIO, the revolutionary open source library services platform. Stanford University went live on FOLIO in mid-August 2023 as it combined two integrated library systems from five campus libraries into a university-wide library services platform.

In the three years since Index Data launched its first installation in North America at Simmons University, FOLIO has redefined the library landscape, offering institutions a new approach to resource management. Index Data has been an implementation partner with Stanford University's libraries, providing an array of services from consulting to data migration to training to hosting services for LDP, integrating with their self-hosted FOLIO installation.

"Our mission and passion is to partner with libraries allowing them to be successful, fulfilling whatever role is necessary," said Mike Gorrell, Managing Director at Index Data. "We view ourselves as very capable, expert partners rather than vendors. This partnership with Stanford epitomizes that philosophy. We started with an open-ended engagement and really delivered value for Stanford in the multiple ways they asked us to."

Stanford's FOLIO journey encompassed a comprehensive array of services provided by Index Data. Tom Cramer, Chief Technology Strategist and Associate University Librarian at Stanford University Library, expressed his appreciation for the partnership: "Index Data's consultancy played an essential role in Stanford's FOLIO project. They assisted us with advice, training, integrations, and data migrations from two different ILSs. We could not have gone live without them. Now that we have launched, we are very much looking forward to enhancing our reporting with LDP."

The successful FOLIO implementation at Stanford University Library underscores Index Data's commitment to delivering tailored solutions that elevate library services and promote innovation.
