July 31, 2023. Coherent Digital today announced that Julie Stevens will join in a newly created role as Sales Director, APAC. The move reflects the company's expanded commitment to serving librarians in the region.
Stevens is a publishing professional and librarian with a long history of sales and product development accomplishments. She's worked at a variety of academic publishing companies including Taylor & Francis, ProQuest, and Alexander Street Press.
Stephen Rhind-Tutt, Coherent's President, called Julie a trusted adviser. "Our company is made up of many of the same team that grew Alexander Street, and that includes Julie. Not only can she serve libraries' sales needs, but will also work with customers to help shape new products." Genevieve Croteau, COO at Coherent, said, "Julie is passionate and knowledgeable, and most importantly, she listens to customers. As we expand our slate of region-based products, she will understand and champion the needs of the APAC community."
Stevens said, "I'm happy to continue working with my APAC library community and excited by the challenge of new product creation. It's a joy to be back with so many of my former Alexander Street colleagues, joining them on a mission to find and preserve grey literature and other wild content."
She begins effective August 14, working from an office in Queensland, Australia, and will take over sales responsibilities from Bezi, the distributor who has been serving Coherent's Australia and New Zealand customers in the region. "We are so grateful to Bezi for their strong partnership with us over the past two years," said Croteau.
