LibLime migrates six public libraries to Bibliovation 7.2

Rockville, MD, June 22, 2023 – On the eve of the ALA 2023 Annual Conference, LibLime is pleased to announce six new public libraries now live on the Bibliovation 7.2 Library Services Platform. Each library was migrated over a six-week implementation period and went live in March and April. The libraries serve communities in Louisiana, California, South Dakota, Virginia and two different counties in New Mexico. All six of these new LibLime customers will be using Bibliovation 7.2 to support their collection maintenance, to disseminate their print and electronic resources, and to share materials with other local libraries as part of regional resource sharing programs.

LibLime implementation services for each library covered system configuration, data analysis and cleanup, data migration, staff manager training, and staff workflow training all under the guise of a PMP-certified Project Manager. LibLime has been providing hosting solutions to its library customers for over fifteen years, so these library staffs are now benefiting from a 100% browser-based, library management solution housed in a FedRAMP-certified hosting facility.

The library staffs are also enjoying reading and commenting on the bi-weekly LibLime blog posts found at https://liblime.com/category/liblime/blog/

Some new features in the most recent Bibliovation 7.2 build include: enhanced NCIP and SIP2 support for third party products and services; PayPal support for online payments; auto-creation of latitude and longitude subfields on the 034 when cataloging maps; expanded patron detail editing capability in the Discovery Layer; enhanced SAML support for SSO; report query ‘sticky' login solution for staff with reports module permissions; expansion of local cataloging rules support to expand validation support beyond MARC21; additional Lexile factor support in Discovery Layer searches; and expanded features in the batch item editor.

With FedRAMP authorized IaaS and PaaS certification made available through the Amazon AWS Cloud and SaaS special security authorization by the US Department of Defense cybersecurity experts, Bibliovation offers libraries the most secure and cost-effective hosting solution. Supporting MARC21, Dublin Core, RDA, and geotagging, Bibliovation helps libraries manage both physical and digital content all in a single Rest API-based platform.
