The Aspen Discovery 23.05 release extends event integration functionality to include support for event registration! From both search results and event pages, it is easy to see whether or not an event requires registration. When an event requires registration, patrons are given the option to "Add to Your Events and Register" which saves the event to the patron's account and sends them to the library's event platform to register.
Once registered, patrons who have used their barcodes to register for the event can see registration status in their accounts and when viewing that event in search results and from the event page. Note that this functionality works for our LibCal from Springshare and Communico Attend integrations. If your event platform does not support display of event registration, Aspen will direct patrons to check their registration in the native events platform.
