Coherent Digital announced the addition of Iain Williamson and Job de Jong to the sales team.

Formerly with OECD, Williamson will serve as US Director of Sales, Government & Corporate, bringing resources published on the Policy Commons platform—Global Think Tanks, North American City Reports, World Cities, and others—to corporate groups, government agencies, NGOs, IGOs, and other research organizations. "Policy Commons is going to be a game changer for these customers," he said. "It will open up an entire world of content previously unavailable."

Since Coherent's launch in 2019, there's been rapid adoption of its publications largely among academic libraries. "With Iain's years of experience serving the full range of library types, we're excited to watch him expand the reach of Policy Commons to new kinds of customers," said Stephen Rhind-Tutt, Coherent Digital's president. "Those teams will benefit tremendously by the ability to reach millions of publications that are otherwise inaccessible and disappearing."

Joining Coherent's Europe team, Job de Jong will become the Sales Representative for Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Nordic countries, offering the company's complete portfolio of publications. "Earning my law degree has made me appreciate the value of grey literature as extremely relevant. I'm enthusiastic about Coherent's mission of taming wild content."

Adam Gardner, Sales Director for EMEA and ANZ, noted that with the number of academic customers growing in Benelux and the Nordics, it became important to bring someone on board to focus on the region. "Job is enthusiastic about creating a strong support system for these libraries, and he's knowledgeable in all our publishing areas—grey literature, primary sources, learning objects, and regional collections."
