- Civica wraps up another successful SPUN week with their customers
- City of Albury and City of Wanneroo amongst latest wins and contract extensions
Virtual book groups, enhanced discovery OPAC and Artificial Intelligence are just some of the new features that library users explored at Civica's SPUN week, a conference led by Civica following enhancements to leading library management software Spydus, which is used by more than over 500 libraries across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Presenting to Spydus customers across Australia & New Zealand, the Civica team showcased their latest updates and had engaging discussions around topics including the use of Widgets to streamline staff workflows, Archives and historic collections, and the updated Spydus Discovery Platform. Special guest Samantha Campbell from Ipswich Libraries in QLD led a discussion on creating the Ipswich children's OPAC utilising the power of Spydus open APIs.
Supported by a strong customer community, with global product development led in Melbourne, Spydus continues to improve connectivity and learning while building strong communities and culture.

From Campbelltown City Council to the National Library Board of Singapore*, Spydus is helping libraries all over the world to adapt and thrive in the digital age. The Australian made software recently also launched and expanded across Ireland, now used by over 300 Libraries in a national consortium model. Additionally, local communities across regions of Scotland have embraced the technology with the digital investment directly supporting Scotland's Public Library Strategy*, including tackling digital exclusion, improving literacy, and learning and promoting vibrant communities.
Recent new local Spydus customers include City of Albury in New South Wales while City of Wanneroo in Western Australia extends have extended their current contract.
