Waco-McLennan County Library (WMCL) is thrilled to now use Library.Solution from The Library Corporation (TLC) as their newest integrated library system. With proactive security practices and an entirely web-based platform, Library.Solution provides the library with a fully integrated and flexible solution under one umbrella, backed by industry-leading support. TLC completed migration services for the four-site Texas library from their Polaris ILS in September.
"The amount of support that TLC has given us has been fabulous," shared Essy Day, Director of Library Services at Waco-McLennan County Library. "They respond to and answer our questions in a timely fashion."
When selecting TLC as its new vendor, WCML valued TLC's commitment to the end users. The consultative TLC sales team had honest conversations that allowed the library selection team to make informed decisions. That commitment continued through the implementation process, with TLC's specialists providing authentic and methodical attention to complete the migration.
Before the library's go-live, Crystal Waldron, Technical Services Supervisor at Waco-McLennan County Library, profoundly shared: "I feel confident and comfortable that everything's going to turn out right."
Library staff can continue to feel confident in both the customer service they receive from TLC and the performance of their system. WMCL will use TLC.Cloud Services, the only ILS hosting service underpinned by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and the exclusive winner of the Modern Library Award for Service of the Year 2021. TLC's proactive approach to application security allows the library to rest assured.
Staff at the library are also looking forward to having complete access to their data with powerful reporting capabilities available in Library.Solution. Additionally, circulation staff members are delighted with the automatic age-up feature, which was a manual process in their previous ILS.
Waco-McLennan County Library provides access to over 411,000 titles and almost 536,000 items, with 700,000 circulations annually. The community can look forward to the new online catalog. TLC's support team ensures library staff are comfortable and experienced in making the transition seamless for their patrons. Additionally, the online catalog includes an eCommerce platform that allows borrowers to pay for fines and fees online at any time. This feature was not previously available in the library's former ILS.
"We are pleased to welcome Waco-McLennan into the TLC family, especially as an addition to our many Texas libraries," announced Annette Murphy, CEO at TLC. "They can expect excellence from our teams at TLC."
