Press Release: College Libraries Ontario [July 27, 2022]

Introducing Page 1+: The new resource search tool from College Libraries Ontario, in partnership with Ontario Colleges Library Service

July 27, 2022. College Libraries Ontario (CLO) is excited to announce the official launch of Page 1+, the innovative new search tool for industry-relevant resources. The Page 1+ consortium includes 20 Ontario college libraries that will use Page 1+.

Page 1+ is an outcome of CLO's ongoing commitment to collaboration. By sharing in the operation and maintenance of a single universal system, the 20 participating libraries of Page 1+ can expand their capabilities, allowing for a more efficient and robust research process for Ontario college students and faculty, and creating new opportunities for growth.

Regardless of when, where or what they're studying, Page 1+ users experience free, convenient access to their college library's collection of up-to-date and expertly curated materials. The Page 1+ platform's intuitive and accessible design takes the work out of research, inviting discovery, encouraging curiosity, and steering its users towards success.

Page 1+ is an outcome of rigorous collaboration between CLO members, Ontario College students and Ontario College faculty from across the province. Page 1+ brings together the benchmark performance of today's most powerful discovery tools, while encouraging learners to explore further.

The following Ontario college libraries are now powered by Page 1+:

  • Algonquin College
  • Collège Boréal
  • Cambrian College
  • Centennial College
  • Conestoga College
  • Confederation College
  • Fanshawe College
  • Fleming College
  • George Brown College
  • Georgian College
  • Humber College
  • La Cité Collegiale
  • Lambton College
  • Northern College
  • Sault College
  • Sheridan College
  • St. Clair College
  • St. Lawrence College

Just as its name suggests, the launch of Page 1+ is a starting point. As of today, each college has implemented the staff interface of the Page 1+ Library Services Platform. Each college will implement the user interface over the coming months according to the college's schedule and needs. We are thrilled by the platform's potential and look forward to its continued expansion over the next year and beyond. We have also welcomed Niagara College and Mohawk College to the Page 1+ consortium and they will be implementing in the spring.
