LibraryCall is a suite of services designed to reach everyone—online users as well as those who don't have access to broadband Internet at home. We provide an online widget as well as a phone number along with content to help you deliver stories and information to everyone—including the last 10% of your users who don't have broadband Internet access. We are also including a QR code so telephone users can access your service as easily as taking a photo!
Our Storytime Direct service is designed to deliver children's stories while keeping staff impact low. We provide the online widget and a local phone number in your area; patrons can click the widget or call in to hear a story from our collection of high-quality children's stories available in English and Spanish. All staff need to do is promote the service!
Dial-A-Story Studio puts control of the schedule in the hands of your staff plus you can add your own content—stories, information, jokes, words of encouragement! Dial-A-Story Studio is a platform for doing whatever you want to do to get information out to people online and by phone.
Both services cost $1500/year with a onetime setup fee. CLA attendees who sign up by August 1, 2022 can receive two months of service for free! Just mention CLA!
Both services include access to our Storytime Commons, a shared repository of audio stories and other content created by LibraryCall staff and our partner libraries. All audio content in the Commons is available for use by all libraries that participate in either of our LibraryCall Dial-A-Story programs. Our LibraryCall team works to ensure that all audio content in the Commons is high-quality, respectful of all people, and licensed for use in our customer's Dial-a-Story programs.
