Innovative, part of Clarivate, announced today that Sierra libraries can now manage patron phone notifications through Innovative Phone Alerts (IPA), a cloud-based, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephony service that streamlines the complexities of current telephone notification and telephone renewal system offerings.
Sierra libraries that use Innovative Phone Alerts will be able to offer patrons a personalized library experience through branded, automated phone messaging for circulation pick up and due date reminders, inbound customer inquiries through an interactive voice response (IVR) system, and oversight for library staff through a web-based analytics portal. IPA Analytics gives staff statistics on the frequency and success rates for call campaigns, including call logs for customer service issues.
This cloud-based solution offers bi-directional communications that eliminates the need for third-party integrators or phone companies. Sierra libraries will no longer need to manage in-library hardware, maintenance, or phone lines—offering a cost-effective approach to a critical patron service.
