Jerusalem, Israel—[April 27 2022]. Ex Libris, part of Clarivate, is pleased to announce that Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) has become the first institution in eastern Europe to adopt the dynamic, community-oriented Ex Libris RapidILL interlibrary loan service.

BME is the most prominent technical university in Hungary, with a research focus on priority areas such as sustainable energy, vehicle technology, transport and logistics, biotechnology, health and environment protection, intelligent environment and e-technologies, and nanophysics, nanotechnology and materials science. The BME library is highly specialized to meet the unique needs of the faculty and students.

By joining the global RapidILL community, BME will save staff time and increase the accessibility of resources—both domestic and international—for librarians, faculty members, and students. The university will also strengthen its international reputation by opening its collections to institutions worldwide and raising the visibility of its holdings.
