Press Release: Patron Point [January 6, 2022]

Spokane Public Library launches Patron Point-FOLIO integration

Dublin, OH - January 6, 2022. In a market first, Patron Point announced today that Spokane Public Library has launched the company's integration with FOLIO, an open-source library services platform. Since 2019, Spokane Public Library, a John Cotton Dana Library Public Relations Awardwinner, has been using Patron Point as part of their continued commitment to creative and purposeful marketing and patron engagement programs.

Andrew Chanse, Executive Director of Spokane Public Library said, "From the start, we have been supportive of FOLIO's mission to bring a modern, open source ILS to public libraries. At the same time, we didn't want to lose Patron Point's ability to deliver state-of-the-art patron notices and real-time marketing programs. So, it was a key goal to make sure the FOLIO-Patron Point infrastructure was operational from day one."

Patron Point's experience in working with a variety of integrated library systems which now includes FOLIO meant that Spokane Public Library could continue to seamlessly drive their digital marketing and community engagement. "Working with Patron Point, we were able to not only launch, but bring additional marketing functionality to an already robust product," Chanse said.

Ian Downie, Vice President, Growth at Patron Point commented, "One of our core values as a company is to work with any ILS system." Downie continued, "With our partnership with Spokane Public Library and FOLIO we have made an exciting addition to our portfolio of ILS partners. Having a marketing platform that integrates with any ILS is important to a library so that if and when they change their system, they can retain all of their patron engagement data and continue to engage their customers without losing their granular engagement history."
