Emeryville, CA -- July 23, 2021. Innovative, a ProQuest company and leading global provider of library software, is pleased to congratulate Middle Country Public Library on their launch of Vega Discover, Innovative's new, modern discovery solution.
Middle Country Public Library (MCPL) in Long Island, New York provides a wide range of programs, services, technology, and resources for its diverse community. Its skilled staff helps provide life-long learning and visionary leadership to local residents and libraries throughout the country. In 2020, they issued over 1,500 new library cards, hosted nearly 2,000 on-on-one appointments with patrons, and supported 2,700 curbside pick-ups.
"We are happy to be live with Vega Discover, which will further our mission to meet the needs of our community, supporting literacy and cultural enrichment to educate, enrich and entertain," said Sophia Serlis-McPhillips, Middle Country Public Library Director. "We expect Vega's simple, modern interface will provide an intuitive experience for our patrons."
MCPL is one of over 30 libraries to select Vega Discover for a superior search-and-explore patron experience. The first module released in the Vega Library Experience (LX) suite, Vega Discover is a full-featured discovery tool that delivers more accurate and relevant search results through linked data, making it easy for users to find library resources with the simplicity they expect from modern technology.
