Mindscape Commons, the world's most comprehensive source of immersive and interactive video content in mental health, has been shortlisted for the ALPSP Awards for Innovation in Publishing 2021.
The award is given to any new product, development, service, or project that is both innovative and of significant value to scholarly communication. Applicants are asked to demonstrate excellence in originality, innovation, value to the community, utility, and long-term viability.
"We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this prestigious award and to be in the company of other outstanding products and services in publishing," said Stephen Rhind-Tutt, President at Coherent Digital, the publisher of Mindscape Commons.
With hundreds of short-form immersive and interactive videos and VR experiences, Mindscape Commons provides resources for better teaching and learning about mental health issues and treatment. Content is developed in partnership with faculty and students, to align with course curricula, and feature stories from across the cultural spectrum.
"The judging panel was pleased to receive submissions from a diverse range of organizations representing all parts of our community... We congratulate everyone who have made this year's shortlist," said David Sommer, Chair of ALPSP's judging panel.
The finalists will present their submissions to the judges in July and also will be invited to showcase their innovations to industry peers at the ALPSP Awards session, to be held online on Wednesday 15 September at the opening of the ALPSP Virtual Conference and Awards 2021.
