The Galecia Group's project, LibraryCall Dial-A-Story has rebranded their Dial-A-Story services as Dial-A-Story Studio and Storytime Direct.
Storytime Direct allows libraries to provide high-quality, diverse content to kids without a broadband connection. On the patron side, all that is required is a phone to call into the service and hear that week's story. On the library staff side, all that is required is promoting the service so people know it is available.
Storytime Direct doesn't require staff to do any recording or scheduling. Stories are selected by our staff librarians who have adapted numerous stories to ensure they are diverse, inclusive and appropriate for kids age 3-10. Stories change every week. The Storytime Direct service costs $850/year for English and $1150/year for English and Spanish.
Dial-A-Story Studio includes many options for libraries to customize their Dial-A-Story service including adding their own content, managing their own scheduling, and adding additional phone numbers (e.g. for content in multiple languages and/or content focusing on different age groups interests.) Dial-A-Story Studio runs $900/year.
