Kent Freeman was named the President of VitalSource Technologies

Kent Freeman was named the President of VitalSource Technologies, LLC in August of 2019. Kent previously led VitalSource from 2009 to 2016, guiding the company through its transition to become a leading education technology company.

Kent most recently served as the Chief Strategy and Development Officer for Ingram Content Group from February of 2016 to August of 2019. He has been with Ingram for more than 30 years. Prior positions with Ingram include Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Ingram Digital Group, Senior Vice President for Business Development of Ingram Book Group, Chief Technology Officer of Ingram Book Group, President of Ingram Customer Systems, and President of Ingram Fulfillment Services. He has served as Chair of the Book Industry Study Group, a non-profit organization that provides research and standards development for the book industry, and as Chair of the Book Industry Systems Advisory Committee.

Kent attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems and Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University.
