The university is the first in New Zealand to implement the Leganto solution, which will strengthen the quality of teaching and learning and facilitate the management and reporting of copyright compliance
Adelaide, Australia, and Christchurch, New Zealand—February 23, 2021. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that Lincoln University is the first institution of higher education in New Zealand to go live with the Ex Libris Leganto course resource list solution. Leganto serves lecturers, librarians, and students at the university and provides the institution with a digital repository for course materials. Leganto is integrated with Lincoln University's Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution.
Prior to the adoption of Leganto, Lincoln University's former digital repository proved difficult to manage for both librarians and lecturers. The modern, user-friendly Leganto interface makes it much easier for lecturers to create resource lists and enables the library to implement workflows for course resources more efficiently. In addition, Leganto enhances the student experience by providing online access to course materials.
"With the Leganto tool, we streamline our copyright process and can easily develop resource lists," explained Dr Lorraine Petelo, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Learning and Teaching at Lincoln University, "The goal is to enable seamless access to course materials by our students. We put the student experience at the centre of all that we do and provide an environment that helps ensure our students' academic and personal success."
Tamar Sadeh, vice-president of teaching and learning solutions at Ex Libris, said, "We are delighted that Lincoln University has now joined the Leganto community. The integration of the Leganto, Primo, and Alma software is the powerhouse that supports lecturers, librarians, and students, contributing significantly to positive academic outcomes."
