Ipswich, MA -- January 12, 2021. EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) announces the availability of EBSCOed powered by Stacks, a web-based content management system that makes it easy for schools to aggregate and streamline access to their digital resources in an interoperable, personalized experience. Developed in partnership with Publishers' Warehouse, the central source for textbooks in Alabama, EBSCOed serves as a single, easy-to-use online access point to approved educational resources across the state or within a school district's community.
With EBSCOed, K-12 schools receive streamlined access to content as approved and determined by the institution, which would include (but is not limited to) subscription resources, proprietary content, licensed materials, textbooks, approved open access content and professional development materials. EBSCOed enables students, teachers, administrators, staff and parents to access educational content anytime, anywhere from a user-friendly interface. Additional integration options are offered with a school's course management system, learning management system, Google Classroom, chat tools and events management resources, among others.
EBSCO Information Services Vice President, SaaS Product Technology and Innovation and Stacks Founder Kristin Delwo says the platform is intended to bring together disparate technologies, platforms and solutions to provide the unified experience that schools need. "EBSCOed demonstrates an innovative, new concept, bringing together multiple tools to provide a one-stop-shop for students and educators. As more schools are moving online, now is the time for innovation to help ease this transition for districts nationwide."
