September 22, 2015. When 2CQR started, over twentyfive years ago, the owners had the vision of building a library-focused company that delivered security and self-service of the highest quality, with reliable equipment, software and maintenance. That vision still remains but as the library culture and technology has changed so has 2CQR.
Many changes have been gradual, building on successful products and growing its staff of engineers, software developers and sales consultants to manage demand.
The latest addition to the 2CQR management team, Phil Farrell, is not only intent on adding to the existing success but, by bringing his 20 years of library experience with 3M, to strengthen the culture and strategic thinking of the company.
"As CEO I want us to build on our reputation as the great service and innovative solution provider and ensure we are seen as the go-to local partner across the UK and Ireland"
2CQR's Non-executive Director and co-founder Ram Patel was excited with the appointment and saw Phil as the ideal choice to lead the company forward. " We have been looking for someone with a deep understanding of the on-the-ground service and product development issues but with the vision and expertise to inspire us"
Having worked across all aspects of library security and automation for two decades with one of the largest suppliers Phil is keen to put his experience into the running and motivating of the team at 2CQR and sees the CEO's job as the perfect opportunity.
Living in Penrith Phil is in the ideal spot to indulge his two main hobbies, walking and cycling. Proving his desire for a challenge he recently cycled 180 miles in three days. "Cycling in the Lake District certainly must prepare you for the ups and downs of business" quips Non-executive Director and co-founder of 2CQR Chris Robb "although knowing Phil it will be a pleasure to work in tandem"
