Brisbane, Australia and Oslo, Norway – August 17, 2020. TIND is excited to announce that another law library will join Columbia and Berkeley Law schools in migrating to the TIND ILS. The Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ) will migrate from Millennium, by Innovative Interfaces, to a combined TIND ILS and TIND DA instance.
Katie Haden, Principal Librarian Collections, listed a number of factors that played a role in their decision: "We were impressed by the TIND interface and the way it manages collection data to be simple, efficient, and intuitive to our user experience. We are also looking forward to working with the Digital Archive and improving discoverability of our Legal Heritage Collection". SCLQ will be creating archival records within the ILS using the integrated TIND DA to highlight their unique digital heritage collections, allowing physical objects of historical importance, including judicial robes and artifacts, to be discoverable alongside their physical and electronic collections. "We chose TIND because they were collaborative during the assessment process, have a focus on legal collections, and are looking beyond finding solutions for current problems, to future innovation." Haden said.
