SV Technology and xmLaw Merging to Chart the Future of Legal Portal Technology

San Francisco, CA ─ January 31st, 2005 ─ San Francisco-based SV Technology, makers of LawPort, a law firm portal and knowledge management suite and Boston-based xmLaw Incorporated, makers of a Microsoft SharePoint-based legal portal and integration products, announced today their plans to merge. The combined company will deliver the most advanced portal and knowledge management technologies available to law firms and provide a full spectrum of intranet and extranet options.

The merged company creates a powerful market position with over 35 law firm clients throughout the US, the UK, Canada and Australia. The new company will retain its offices in San Francisco and Boston. Both companies will continue to operate and support their customers as usual until further details of the new company are announced.
