Dublin, OH - April 3, 2020 - Patron Point today announced the launch of an online registration solution for public libraries.
The new functionality offers Patron Point libraries a complete workflow around signing up new cardholders. Starting with customized, branded sign up forms which sit on the library website, the solution creates the new customer record in the ILS which in turn triggers the fully automated welcome email sequences from Patron Point's marketing automation platform.
The flexible solution can manage multiple types of patron accounts, including eCards. with customized workflows based on the type of card created that can offer the patron customized content and experiences based on the card offered.
The Patron Point Online Registration is available standard with a Patron Point subscription. Libraries can also subscribe to Patron Point's optional address verification solution, Verify, which can both check the address entered is within the library service area and then verify that the applicant lives at that address. This opens up the possibility of not just creating temporary eCards, but allowing the library to issue permanent cards to customers who pass address verification, removing the need for them to come into the library with proof of address.
Ian Downie, Vice President, Growth at Patron Point commented, "We are excited to create this solution and bring extra value to our customers, particularly in this time of crisis. With library buildings currently closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, many libraries are promoting community access to their digital resources. Our Online Registration solution can give them the ability to issue eCards to members of their community who do not currently have a library card."
