London, 25 November 2019. London School of Theology has chosen Koha as its new library management system to replace the previous Capita solution and the team at PTFS Europe has implemented the new system and is providing on-going hosting and support services. Koha will efficiently manage the library's valuable collections and deliver an improved service to its users. The library particularly valued the project focus provided by PTFS Europe, the efficiency of the implementation and the capabilities of the new open source solution.

Koha Library Management System

The Koha library management system is a completely web-based application providing staff and public users with access to the system through web browsers. The system comprises core modules: acquisitions with EDI, circulation, cataloguing, serials and comprehensive reporting functionality. The Koha online catalogue (OPAC) offers end users excellent search capabilities together with a full range of personalisation services. Koha's depth of functionality continues to develop to meet the changing needs of libraries and their users.

London School of Theology is an English interdenominational evangelical theological college based in Northwood, London. The school's large library is housed in the former chapel and holds around 56,000 volumes. It is recognised as one of the best specialist theological libraries in the UK.
