Duluth, Ga., August 21, 2019: Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of Carleton University's Audio Visual Collection to Koha, the first open source Integrated Library System to be used worldwide.

Their migration involved 14,633 bibliographic records and 134 patrons at the college. Equinox provided implementation and data services in addition to Koha support, hosting, and auxiliary services.

"Working with Equinox has been a breeze," said George Duimovich, Associate University Librarian in Collections & Technology at Carleton University. "We had a challenging legacy system to update, and chose Equinox to support us – professional and expert at every step."

Founded in 1999 Koha is the first free and open source library automation package. Equinox's team includes long-standing Koha developers.

"It was great to see a familiar face again, even if virtually," said Jason Etheridge, senior developer at Equinox of working with George Duimovich. "I love when open source follows people around and I'm glad that Carleton had such a smooth Koha implementation."
