CataCap acquires a majority stake in Lyngsoe Systems A/S

CataCap acquires a majority stake in the IT company Lyngsoe Systems A/S, which specializes in complex IT solutions for logistics companies. Solutions are used to improve efficiency, quality management and traceability within a variety of industries such as postal, libraries, food, and airports. CataCap invests with the aim of step changing the company in cooperation with management and employees through increased utilization of the company's strong market positions. The current owners will retain a significant stake in the company and continue as part of management. Former Microsoft CEO Jørgen Bardenfleth will be appointed Chairman of the Board.

Lyngsoe Systems is one of the world´s leading systems integrators and software suppliers for complex logistics solutions. Lyngsoe Systems has designed, developed, installed and maintained logistics solutions for more than 30 years. The company is market leader within data capture solutions mainly based on radio frequency identification technology (RFID).

With more than 3,200 installations worldwide in 60 countries, Lyngsoe Systems builds on a unique foundation of knowledge. This includes consulting, process knowledge, design solutions, software development, service and maintenance worldwide.

Lyngsoe Systems has a market leading position in the postal industry in which the company works with the world's leading postal companies on improving quality and reducing costs. Furthermore, the company sells systems used in libraries, production and logistics businesses and for baggage handling in airports.

Lyngsoe Systems had a turnover of approx. DKK 240 million last year and employs roughly 200 people across Denmark, USA, Canada, Romania, Sweden and Germany.

CataCap and the management of Lyngsoe Systems have, through an exclusive dialogue, developed a common future strategy. The aim is to step change Lyngsoe Systems' sales and earnings through increased focus on the company's core activities and strong innovation capacity.

Lyngsoe Systems is CataCap's third investment since its establishment in December 2012. According to Partner at CataCap, Vilhelm Hahn-Petersen, Lyngsoe Systems is a "sweet-spot" investment for CataCap, who focuses on catalysing step changes in companies with high growth and development potential.

The current management, headed by Finn Mathiassen, will continue in the company, and Jørgen Bardenfleth, former CEO of Microsoft Denmark, will become new Chairman of the Board.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in mid-March 2014.
