Dublin, OH - July 10, 2019 - Patron Point announced today that the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service, Oregon, (CCRLS) has implemented its patron relationship management system for use by both central staff and member libraries.
John Goodyear, Executive Director of the CCRLS, comments, "Providing our member libraries with modern tools to better market both their services and that of the Cooperative was a key element in our discussions with Patron Point." Goodyear continues, "At the same time, we wanted our central staff to have the ability to better promote the services we offer as well as enhance much of the routine communications that we support day in and day out."
Goodyear states, "As we began this project we set goals to increase community awareness of our libraries and CCRLS services; increase traffic to libraries, circulation of e-resources, and event attendance; and do what we can to generate buzz among our users".
As part of the rollout of services, CCRLS has formed a PR Committee that will provide overall coordination and guidance of the system implementation. Both CCRLS and Patron Point will work along with member libraries to identify and implement both centralized and member library marketing programs. As the Patron Point platform will be implemented at the consortial systems level, templates, graphics and workflows can be shared among libraries and central staff. At the same time, Patron Point can be configured to provide any library with dedicated capacity to keep library-specific communications exclusive to that library.
CCRLS will focus on system issues and services while providing member libraries the freedom to run their own campaigns and promotions. "It's absolutely critical that our member libraries remain the primary contact point for our end user and will continue to develop and foster those relationships", continued Goodyear.
"We're particularly excited to work with CCRLS on this implementation", states Patron Point's Vice President of Community, Gene Shimshock. "Patron Point is uniquely designed to handle the additional layer of complexity that results from a consortium environment implementation."
Patron Point has been installed and is currently in an early-stage rollout within the CCRLS systems environment.
