Turning Leaf Technologies announced that the Basin Library System launched Aspen Discovery to their patrons on June 5th 2019.
As part of the implementation, Turning Leaf Technologies developed integration with Koha so all changes to records in the ILS are reflected in Aspen in near real-time as well as complete integration of all Koha account functionality. Turning Leaf Technologies also added integration with Rbdigital eBook and eAudiobook materials as well as account information to Aspen Discovery by leveraging APIs provided by Recorded Books. Finally, Open Archive support was added to the catalog to help patrons discover previously under utilized resources such as historical photographs.
Samuel Passey, Director of Uintah County Library recently commented:
At Uintah County Library we've longed for a way to help people actually discover and use all of the amazing books, movies, audiobooks, and e-resources that we have. Previous to working with Turning Leaf Technologies and Aspen Discovery our online experience was disjointed at best. Now patrons have an intuitive user-friendly discovery interface. One big hit is the ability to help people discover and access our photo archives --right from Aspen Discovery! We're proud to offer Aspen Discovery to our patrons. Turning Leaf Technologies did an amazing job of coordinating with Bywater Solutions, our ILS provider, and empowered us to customize our discovery experience at Uintah County Library.
