Wright County Library joins Missouri Evergreen

Columbia, MO - October 29, 2018 -- The MOBIUS Consortium announced that the Wright County Library went live as a member of the Missouri Evergreen Consortium. The Library is the 41st member to go live on the system and migrated from BookSystem's Atriuum ILS.

Missouri Evergreen, a resource-sharing consortium which uses the open source Evergreen ILS, began in early 2012, with a mission to provide a shared integrated library system and increase resource sharing among Missouri public libraries. From an initial twelve member library system, the consortium has continued to grow to a collection size of over 3 million items. Administered by MOBIUS, Missouri Evergreen is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provision of the Library Services and Technology Act as Administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.

About the Wright County (MO) Library

The Wright County Library (http://www.wrightcounty.lib.mo.us/) was established in 1947 and currently consists of the headquarters at the county seat of Hartville and branches in Mountain Grove and Mansfield. Wright County Library strives to provide the best possible service to our patrons and to select, organize, and make accessible library materials to meet the expressed and anticipated needs and interests of the diverse public in the library district. As a public service agency, the Library must strive to provide the residents of Wright County with a comprehensive collection of materials in a variety of formats that record human knowledge, ideas and culture; to organize these materials for ready access; to offer guidance and encouragement in their use; and to serve the community with reliable and easily available sources of information.
