Called the "LIMMYs", public libraries of all sizes will have the opportunity to explore the wide variety of ways marketing automation technology can be applied to real-world library marketing goals and challenges.

Grand Prize - Free one-year full subscription to Patron Point plus a $1,500 Travel Award for ALA Annual Conference 2019.
The inaugural program will culminate in the awarding of the Grand Prize which includes a fully-paid one-year subscription to Patron Point plus a $1,500 stipend for registration and travel to the 2019 American Libraries Association Annual Conference (Washington, DC , June 20-25, 2019.) Runners-up will receive a 50% discount on a one-year subscription to Patron Point.
Call For Proposals Deadline - Friday, November 16, 2018
Interested libraries can submit their ideas for marketing programs enabled by marketing automation technology in any of four categories: Patron Engagement, Messaging and Notifications, Cardholder Growth, and Open Class. Proposals will need to identify program goals and objectives as well as details of the program the library envisions. Libraries can submit multiple proposals.
Programs Selected for Study - Wednesday, December 12, 2018
Each proposal will be evaluated in terms of originality, potential impact, and technical viability. "We're looking for this to be a collaboration," states Gene Shimshock, Partner at Patron Point, "So, our plan is to work with each proposal to make sure it can achieve its fullest potential."
Programs selected for award consideration will be implemented on a live Patron Point system so that each program is tested in real-world conditions. Patron Point will provide the platform, data wrangling, technical support, and reporting. The library will provide the concept, access to data sources, and creative design. It is anticipated that trials will begin mid-January and be conducted through late April.
Winning Programs Announced - Wednesday, May 8, 2019
After program trials are completed, the top performing program will be recognized with the Grand Prize. Runner-Up award(s) will also be awarded based on the potential of the proposals and program performance. Findings of the 2019 program and awards will be presented at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference with winning libraries having the opportunity to present their individual program findings.
The LIMMYs are open to all public libraries of all sizes, across the globe, and including current customers of Patron Point.
