The council has developed a Community Strategic Plan 2025 to offer services that meet the changing needs of its residents based on their age and circumstances. Oberon's public library is at the core of this plan which aims to increase library usage to build better and engaged communities, develop social infrastructure and support services and build a digital infrastructure to help Oberon Council present itself as an attractive alternative for new business and people relocating.

Clr Kathy Sajowitz Mayor, Oberon Council said: "Oberon Council is committed to developing a community hub with the public library at its centre. Part of this development is the provision of state of the art technology.
