PROVO, Utah, June 19, 2018 –– Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) is pleased to announce the promotion of Lara Henry to Vice President of Metadata Services.
Lara has been with Backstage for 25 years. During her career with Backstage, Lara has served as Vice President of Operations, President, Cataloging Project Manager, Client Support Manager, and Account Representative. In 2004, while serving as a project manager, Lara was directly credited for adding cataloging services to Backstage's capabilities. As Vice President of Metadata Services, Lara will manage metadata projects and staff, consult with libraries, archives, and museums, develop strong business relationships with potential and existing clients and work with product managers in analyzing library needs and developing high quality, cost-effective solutions.
Nate Cothran, President of Backstage states:
"I've worked with Lara on several projects during her career and learned so many good lessons on project management, metadata standards, and ways to satisfy the needs and requirements of our customers.
"She's able to zero in on solutions that have worked in the past or generate new ideas based on prior projects. Metadata from our clients comes to us in many ways – Lara and her team are integral to making all of that more accessible. It's great to work with Lara in this new capacity."
