Redwood City, CA, April 4, 2018 -- Yewno, Inc. a leading provider of AI solutions, today announces the close of the of the DoYewno? High School Research Competition, which celebrated the launch of Yewno Create, a platform that gives K-12 students the ability to research, write, collaborate on and publish research articles.
Hundreds of students from over 18 countries across six continents published research articles on the topics of self-development, bioethics, advanced mathematics, and virtual reality, to name a few. The students performed their research within the Yewno Discover platform, which gave them access to over 200 million scholarly documents, including billions of snippets which help students to find interrelated concepts. Yewno Create then enabled the students to organize their research articles in the proper format and helped the students search and select from 20 open access academic journals to submit their work to.
"At Yewno, we believe that research should be fun. It can be thrilling to discover connections between concepts, to draw conclusions about those connections and share them with your peers," said Yewno Co-Founder Ruth Pickering. "Yewno Create is engaging. It offers the joy of research to all students by not only giving them access to enormous amounts of useful academic information, but showing them how to construct their findings and share them. It really levels the playing field – anyone can be a great researcher with the right tool."
The competition began on Wednesday, February 14, and was open to students age 19 and under globally, until materials became due at midnight PST on March 31, 2018. On April 16th, 2018 four awards will be given out by the Designership Institute at Stanford. The top submission will also be awarded a summer internship to the Designership Institute at Stanford in a lab of their choice. More information can be found at designership.stanford.edu.
