Helping libraries expand access and convenience: bibliotheca launches open+ at PLA

G-LBPR1146 Oakdale, Minnesota March 14, 2018 bibliotheca announces the North American launch of its open library solution, open+, at the 2018 PLA Conference in Philadelphia, March 20-24.

open+ is a comprehensive solution that provides more convenient access for users, more flexibility for library staff and more opportunities for libraries to make an impact within their communities. Using the open+ solution, libraries can control building access, security, and automation through one efficient central management hub. Seamlessly integrating with existing ILS and library solutions, open+ allows libraries to easily configure open hours, monitor library activity, control audio announcements and more.

"open+ has been used for over a decade in over 500 libraries across Europe to provide users with extended access and convenience. Now that the solution is available in North America, we are excited to share stories about how it is helping local libraries extend their reach and improve their service," says Matthew Bellamy, Chief Commercial Officer

bibliotheca will host a panel session, Increase Library Hours + Extend Access on March 22, 2018 at 10 AM in Room 112AB. Charles Pace, Executive Director of Gwinnett County Public Library, and Lois Langer Thompson, Library Director of Hennepin County Library will discuss their success with the open+ solution.

For those unable to attend the PLA session, a Library Journal webinar recorded earlier this month featuring Pace and Thompson, as well as Sherry Fahim, Director Digital Technology and Creation at Hamilton Public Library is available for download here.
