February 27, 2018 - Redwood City, CA -- Yewno, Inc., leading provider of Artificial Intelligence solutions, today announces that it has added German and Chinese language documents to its Discover platform.
Yewno's Discover platform harnesses hundreds of millions of semantic connections and conceptual links from millions of scholarly articles, books, and databases across all academic fields. This empowers students and researchers to navigate intuitively across concepts, relationships, and disciplines, learning from resources that might have otherwise been overlooked. This not only enhances understanding and creates more impactful work, but also saves time while ensuring comprehensive coverage.
The multilingual Discover platform offers users the ability to conduct their research in any one of the languages offered: English, German and Chinese, or any combination of those three languages. German and Chinese content published on the platform is in the original language, not a translation, and is acquired directly from publishers and high quality Open Access sources. This ensures accuracy and integrity of the original content, as well as original language point-of view.
One of the strengths of Yewno's technology is to create semantic spaces where concepts – not words – are interlinked so as to form a knowledge graph. It was always the intention to expand to different languages in addition to English and now with this newly released multi lingual knowledge discovery environment researchers can experience a new way to seamlessly uncover knowledge and extract inferences across domains in their original language.
"We have been working on creating a multi lingual knowledge discovery environment which will fuel a new generation of researchers with a way to uncover knowledge across multiple languages. The new multilingual platform provides a completely unique environment and opens the door for further languages to be included in the future," says Yewno Co-Founder and CEO Ruggero Gramatica.
"We have been working with our existing publisher partners and forging new relationships to deliver a comprehensive content base to our community." added Ruth Pickering, Co-Founder and Chief of Business Development.
Founded in 2015, Yewno is helping the world to uncover the undiscovered through its new inference engine, which introduces an entirely new approach to knowledge discovery. Mimicking the human brain, the Yewno inference engine incorporates machine learning, cognitive science, neural networks, and computational linguistics into an intelligent framework to enhance human understanding by correlating concepts across vast volumes sources. Headquartered in Redwood City, CA, and with offices in London and New York, Yewno is backed by leading investors including Pacific Capital and currently has numerous partnerships across top research universities, publishers, the finance sector and content aggregators worldwide. Yewno was recently named Outsell's 2017 Emerging Company of the Year, and was chosen from among 250 major disruptors in the global information industry.
