Emmeryville, CA -- January 11, 2018 by. Innovative Interfaces is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Jacobson as Vice President, Executive Library Advocate and Strategist, a role that will support both consortia and library partners.
Tom brings a deep knowledge of industry practices with over 25 years of experience helping libraries maximize their systems and get meaningful results. After receiving his MLS from University of Maryland College Park, he built an impressive career at Innovative, learning about libraries and library automation from the ground up in sales, support, and project management. Tom served as Director of Strategic Accounts and Director of Resource Sharing, enabling over 600 libraries to facilitate resource sharing among their peers and consortia members.
Tom also served as a library services consultant at OCLC before founding Third Chapter Partners. As a principal at the technology consultancy, he partnered with libraries to help articulate visions, solve problems, and achieve long-term strategic goals while bringing improved focus to patron engagement and patron data.
